SPRING

Remove any dead or diseased leaves.

March is usually a good time for re-potting and dividing. If plantlets are large enough, carefully remove with roots attached and pot up into Peat/Perlite mix or Sphagnum Moss, watering in from the top of the pot with rainwater.

If a specimen plant is required, move the existing plant into a larger pot to maximise the growth.

When the Disas are making new spring growth, a very dilute high nitrogen. Low phosphorus liquid feed can be given. Place the dilute feed into the tray of water. Alternatively a dilute seaweed fertiliser can be used.

Still give frost protection on cold nights.

Ventilate on sunny days and give some shade protection from the sun.
